Washington Island Marina

The Marina 2024

Washington Island Marina comes with a great deal of responsibility.
The marina is a strategic piece of maritime history located on Death’s Door.  Beginning with the Potawatomi, the early explorers, the lost sailing ship Le Griffon, and the ancestral history of the current Islanders, Washington Island Marina is a legacy that will serve the maritime and boating community for years to come.
We look at 2024 as a planning year, moving slowly to develop the best use for the Marina.
While we will attempt to accommodate a few boaters and sailors in 2024, we are aware we will not be able to please everyone, but this is bigger than the individual.

“Believe me, my young friend, there is nothing – absolutely nothing – half so much worth doing as simply messing about with boats.”

— Kenneth Grahame, The Wind in the Willows
